Do I have to remap after I power cycle my Misty I?
No. Maps persist across power cycles, so if Misty hasn't moved from the location she mapped before she was turned off, there is no need to remap the next time she turns on. After a power cycle, use Start Tracking to have your robot try to relocalize against an existing map.
Note: Using Start Mapping after a power cycle always overwrites an existing map.
You can use the Start tracking button in the API Explorer to have Misty try to relocalize against an existing map.
When Misty has relocalized, the Pose indicator should change colors from red to green.
Note: Misty uses visual features from the environment she mapped to relocalize. If your robot is far way from its original path, it may not be able to recognize visual features from its original journey. After powering up, we recommend placing Misty in the starting position of her original mapping journey, facing her original direction of travel.
